J.P. HamiltonDirector Cisco Systems, Cryptographic Services
J.P. graduated from The Ohio State University followed by a 20-year career in the U.S Army. During J.P.’s career he has held multiple technical and security certifications. Joining Cisco Systems as a Project Manager for the Information Security Department J.P. delivered several globally scoped security projects to include multiple PKI offerings. Building on the success of those initial PKI offerings J.P. then established a full-time centralized applied cryptography team. Today that team is made up of over 30 engineers, PMs, and contractors providing 24x7 operational support to Cisco’ manufacturing, engineering, information technology, and multiple customer programs. Cisco’s cryptographic services the team provides a variety of services that range from private and publicly trusted PKIs, software signing services, key management offerings, policy and compliance support, and a global secrets management service. J.P. represents Cisco Systems in two third-party organizations: The Certificate Authority Browser Forum and the Common Certificate Authority Database team.
